(WGTD)---A Racine County restaurant owner says she was blackmailed by an employee into having sex.

41-year-old Oscar Marquez was charged Thursday with Third Degree Sexual Assault, Stalking, Battery and other counts as a repeater. Marquez' record includes convictions in Georgia for burglary, family violence and other crimes.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman hired Marquez as a delivery driver and cook in June. A few weeks later, the woman said she rebuffed an advance, but that Marquez allegedly kissed her and tried to take a photo of it. From then on, Marquez allegedly threatened to send the image and others to her husband if she didn't comply with his sexual demands. She says at times he became violent.

According to the complaint, the woman broke down last week and went to law enforcement to tell her story, sobbing as she explained that she was "humiliated, frightened and scared" and that the interactions with the defendant needed to end even if her husband found out.

Officers didn't have to go far to get Marquez' side of the story. He followed the woman inside as she sought help. The complaint indicated that an examination of the defendant's phone corroborated at least part of her story.

Marquez is being held on a $30,000 bond.

WGTD excluded some details of the story in order to help protect the woman's identity.
