(WGTD)---A fundraising account has been established for a Kenosha man who drowned in the Pike River over the weekend while trying to save his brother.
Adrian Sanchez-Trujillo turned 39 just Sunday, and was with friends and family celebrating his birthday at a home with river frontage across from Carthage College.
According to the sheriff's department, the victim's brother had gone into the water to cool off then started to struggle.
The brother was saved, but Sanchez-Trujillo disappeared under the water and couldn't immediately be located, despite the efforts of others at the party.
His body was found a little over an hour later in six feet of water about 15 ft. from shore.
A gofundme account was established by a friend of the victim. He says they're trying to raise money to send the body back to Mexico for burial. That's where the man's wife and three children still live.
