(WGTD) -- 2023 Miss America Grace Stanke visited UW Parkside College today as the keynote speaker for the 10th annual "Girls Empowered By Math & Science Conference," Stanke's message to students, "Recognize each others beauty and differences, that's what makes a great team, anything is possible if you set your mind to it, you are the future!"
Over 450 girl students from Racine Unified School District listened to Miss America's story of how she gained success through school, scholarships, family and life long partnerships. The GEMS or (Girls Empowered By Math and Sciences) conference is a unique and educational opportunity for 7th and 8th grade girls to learn the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics for their future careers.
