Aug. 9, 2021 9p

(WGTD)----A 58-year-old Kenosha man who was charged with a hate crime this past spring for allegedly yelling racial slurs and throwing things at his neighbors is facing new charges as the result of an alleged second incident.

Robert Colby, who lives in the 6400 blk. of 12th Ave. is white; His neighbors are Black.

The first incident occurred while the neighbors were cooking outside, and children were in the driveway. Colby allegedly drove partially up the driveway and started revving his engine in a threatening manner, before driving off.

The second alleged incident occurred this past weekend and purportedly involved more racial slurs.

When confronted by police, Colby said he wasn't home at the time. But a criminal complaint said surveillance camera video from another neighbor throws that claim into doubt.

Colby's new charges include another hate crime and bail jumping for violating conditions of the first bond.

In court Monday, Colby's bail was raised from $2,000 to $4,000.
