(WGTD)---A recent court filing shows that Martice Fuller may have planned the killing of his ex-girlfriend weeks in advance.

Sometime in March, the high school student purportedly asked a friend for help in acquiring a gun. While reportedly declining to provide assistance, the friend says he received a photo of Fuller with a gun a short time later.

Fuller allegedly shot and killed Kaylie Juga and wounded her mother in the Juga family home in Kenosha on May 9th. The trial is scheduled for next month.

Fuller and Juga dated while both attended Bradford High School, but the relationship turned violent around the time Kaylie tried to break it off. Fuller was eventually kicked out of Bradford and dropped from the football team where he had started at least one game as quarterback.

Fuller told another friend that Kaylie had ruined his life and that he wanted to kill her.

According to court documents from the state, Fuller had asked the friend two days before the shooting to help him commit the crime, and allegedly made a second request on the day of.

A full month before the shooting, Fuller’s mother reportedly told Kaylie’s mom that her son had walked past the Juga home while armed. "Alice Fuller, the defendant's mother, texted Stephanie Juga and informed her that she heard from a family member that the defendant was outside of the Juga home last night with a gun and asked her if she was aware of that," the filing said.

Investigators later uncovered security camera video showing that Fuller walked and also rode his bike past the home late at night just four days before the shooting.

After the apparent final break-up in late February, Fuller purportedly started stalking and making threats against Kaylie, so much so that she quit her job at a dry cleaner because she worked alone too often.

In court Wednesday, prosecutor Angelina Gabriele called the Fuller/Juga relationship proof that a domestic violence relationship can occur even among teens.

Also Wednesday, Judge Mary Kay Wager denied a request from the defense for a change of venue, saying an outside jury would be impaneled only if the court couldn't find enough impartial jurors in Kenosha County.
