No Lock-Down Order Expected in WI; New Cases in Both Racine and Walworth Counties; Hair Salons and Tattoo Parlors Ordered Closed

(WGTD)--- In a press briefing Friday, Governor Tony Evers said that he does not anticipate a "stay in place" or total lockdown order in the state. New York and California have issued such orders. Evers said he will "follow the science." In a clarification of the States social distancing order, the State has now ordered all nail and hair salons, and tattoo parlors to suspend services until further notice. 

Other Notes: 

*206 positive COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin. An additional case apiece has been reported in both Racine and Walworth counties. The new Racine case has been reported by the Central Racine County Health Dept. The new Walworth Co. case is believed to be the result of "community spread." There are now a total of four confirmed cases in both Racine and Kenosha counties and three in Walworth County. 

*Per the DMV, drivers licenses set to expire this month will recieve a 60 day extension. Other vehicle related transactions can be done online

*Three people have died from COVID-19 in Wisconsin. Evers expects things to get worse before they get better

*State officials say the allotment of protective gear such as masks they are set to recieve from the federal government is not enough

*Some state prisoners could be released early.

* The State only has 620 available ventilators, although the federal government might provide more. * 2,500 intensive care beds are avaliable.
