(WGTD)---One person is dead and four others injured--two seriously--in a Monday night shooting in Kenosha's Uptown.
Police were called to the 6300 blk. of 25th Ave. around 10:20 p.m. and were confronted with a chaotic scene and "obvious' evidence of multiple gunshots having been fired, according to a release from the police department.
Police said early Tuesday morning that there were no known motives and no known suspects. "Police need cooperation from people who were there," the release said.
Police were also investigating a case of a juvenile with a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim--who had been at Kenosha's lakefront watching the fireworks--initially believed the injury was due to being struck by a firework.
Police confirmed the injury was due to a bullet that may have been fired into the air from "somewhere" in the city and happened to land on the victim's foot.
Anyone with information on either of the cases is asked to call Kenosha police at 262-605-5203 or Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
