(WGTD)---A Kenosha nursing home with a history of operational and facility issues is closing.
The building that currently houses Kenosha Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center on 60th St. is up for sale.
The nursing home administrator did not return a message left Monday.
The facility is licensed for just under 100 residents, but the actual number in recent months is believed to be far fewer.
While the state is in charge of finding new places for the residents, Kenosha County Aging and Disability Services Director Rebecca Dutter says she knows of no unusual issues having been encountered in that process.
Kenosha Estates is given a performance evaluation by Medicare of a single star. By comparison, the county-run Brookside Care Center has a four-star rating out of a possible five.
Over the past two years, Kenosha Estates has received 17 citations, according to a state web site.
