Racine Alder Asks for Public's Help in Locating the Killer of a Family Member

July 8, 2026 5p

(WGTD)--A Racine alderman is urging anyone with information that could help police locate the gunman who killed his cousin to step forward.

Speaking from the city council floor Tuesday night and in a news release, Nathan Pabon said Geovonnie Aime's killer must be brought to justice. "Some of you may know that unfortunately there was a murder in my family a couple of weeks ago," Pabon said as he struggled to maintain his composure. "We are still looking for that person," he said in reference to the suspect.

Aime was shot in Mt. Pleasant. Wounded, Aime drove a few blocks on Racine St. before crashing into a vehicle.

In the news release, Pabon implied that the suspect is a juvenile that could be in hiding, possibly with the help of others.

He described the 18 year-old Geovonnie as someone who loved his family, music, his friends and more. "Like all young people, he hadhis faults, and those who are older should be thankful that more cameras and social media weren't around when they were in their youth, but nothing he did made his death justifiable," Pabon wrote.

He's asking anyone with information either contact Mt. Pleasant Police or Crimestoppers at 262-636-9330. Another way to send in information is by using the P3 Tips Crimestoppers app.

Funeral services for Geovonnie were held Wednesday.
