Racine Woman's Death Tied to a Case of Domestic Violence

Apr. 25, 2022 9:15p

(WGTD)---The search continues for a Racine man police believe killed 30-year-old Brittany Booker just weeks after Booker attempted to help her friend escape an abusive relationship.  Police say 42-year-old Terry Jackson is a currently on the run and is “armed and dangerous.”

According to a criminal complaint, a string of violence began in February when Jackson repeatedly punched his girlfriend in the face. A week later, the woman, with help from her friend Brittany, tried to move out of the apartment she shared with Jackson. Jackson got wind of the move, and allegedly attacked both women with a hammer.

Charges were filed in connection with the incident, but Jackson couldn’t be located.

Then last weekend police got involved again when Booker went missing. Without providing details, police said the search ended with Booker’s death.

Booker is survived by six children.

Police believe Jackson may be in Chicago.
