Robert Siegel, the famous voice of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” will retire from NPR on January 5th. Siegel started with NPR in 1976. The organization was only 5 years old when he began. Siegel was an integral part of NPR. He served as head of NPR News in the 1980's; expanding programming like “Fresh Air,” hosted by Terry Gross, nationwide. Siegel began hosting “All Things Considered” in 1987.
