(WGTD)---Hard lessons on sexual boundaries and underage drinking are being learned at Kenosha's Indian Trail High School and Academy.
A student was charged with three counts of second degree sexual assault following a post-prom party that took place at a home in Kenosha two weekends ago.
18-year-old Alexander Ketchum has been released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond, according to online records.
According to the criminal complaint, Ketchum allegedly groped a student that had invited him to a party in the Allendale neighborhood the evening of Saturday, Apr. 29th. The 17-year-old girl told police that Ketchum persisted even after she repeatedly said no.
The girl said she and others at the party had been drinking. She told police that she consumed four shots of tequila and about four hard lemonade alcoholic beverages.
The complaint says the girl and defendant wound up sleeping together on a basement couch. The girl told investigators that she woke up at 6 the next morning to find the defendant's hands on her. The purported contact ended after the defendant got up to take a phone call and then left the house.
The girl said she cried herself back to sleep, then later tearfully told a a girlfriend at the party what had happened.
During the investigation, the girl showed an investigator Snapchat messages in which the defendant apologized and conceded that the sexual contact was wrong.
According to the complaint, the girl has been unable to return to school out of fear that she would cross paths with the defendant.
No word from the police department on whether any citations were issued as the result of the underage drinking.
Homeowners in Kenosha can be cited for hosting an underage drinking party if they knew in advance that alcohol was going to be served.
