(WGTD)---Some five pounds of pills suspected to be Fentanyl were recovered in a drug bust in Racine this week.
According to a news release from the Racine County Sheriff's Dept., authorities were monitoring the delivery of a package from Phoenix that was addressed to a location near Carlton Dr. and Douglas Ave. in Racine.
Members of the Racine County Metro Drug Unit watched as the package was dropped on a doorstep Tuesday, then picked up by a man who approached in a Dodge Durango with dealer plates.
Authorities tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped off in what was described as an extremely reckless manner and the pursuit was terminated.
The driver, identified as 43-year-old Kevin Lynch of Racine, purportedly threw the package out the window before speeding off.
The street value of the pills is believed to be nearly $400,000.
At last report police were still looking for Lynch.
