(WGTD)---The dinner crowd was absent at the normally busy Spot late Monday afternoon---it was one of many businesses that were forced to close as the result of a power outage due to the weather.
While the Menasha and Appleton areas suffered terrible devastation Monday, Kenosha recorded the largest number of We Energies-supplied homes and businesses that lost power.
At sunset, over 20,000 customers in the city itself were still offline.
Most of the problems occurred as a result of the second line of storms that came through later in the afternoon that featured gusty winds and torrential rainfall.
Altogether, the Kenosha Regional Airport reported a rainfall total of 2.8 inches. The sewage treatment plant at the lakefront reported 2.66.
