WGTD)---Gateway Technical College is offering its students a hefty financial incentive to get fully-vaccinated.
The school announced this week that students on any of its campuses will receive a $500 check if they comply. All they have to do is fill out a form and upload their vaccination card, and get fully vaccinated by the end of October.
The incentives come on top of gift card offers from the state and from the City of Racine.
Gateway students who received their shots before the end of last month can enter a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship. 110, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in honor of the school’s 110th anniversary.
Funding for the incentives comes from the federal government’s Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.
A vaccine financial incentive is just one way that Gateway is trying to reduce the spread of COVID. A mandatory indoor mask policy is in place in school buildings.
