BREAKING NEWS: Kyle Rittenhouse Found Not Guilty

(WGTD)— Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guillty of all five counts against him Friday. 

Rittenhouse faced the following charges 

1st Degree Reckless Homicide -Joseph Rosenbaum

(Up to 60 years in prison)

1st Degree Reckless Endangerment - Richie McGinnis

(Up to 12.5 years in prison)

1st Degree Reckless Endangerment - (Unknown Man)

(Up to 12.5 Years in prison)

1st Degree Intentional Homicide - Anthony Huber

(Life in Prison)

2nd Degree Intentional Homicide -Huber

(Up to 60 years in prison)

First Degree Reckless Homicide – Huber

(Up to 60 years in prison)

Lesser Includeds were never consisder: 

First Degree Attempted Reckless Homicide - Gaige Grosskreutz

(Up to 12.5 Years)

Second Degree Attempted Reckless Homicide - Gaige Grosskreutz

(Up to 10 years in prison)

First Degree Reckless Endangerment - Gaige Grosskreutz

(Up to 12.5 years in prison)

Jurors deliberated for three full days. The trial began November 1st.

As the verdict was being read, Rittenhouse sobbed and hugged his attorney. Protesters have been gathering outside the courtroom since Monday. Several people were arrested outside the courtroom throughout the week. In a statement Tuesday, Kenosha Police announced they did not anticipate enacting curfews or road closures. Governor Tony Evers called for peace in a statement Monday and has put 500 National Guard troops on Standby. The troops will be deployed if local law enforcement calls for them.
