5-Way Kenosha Shoot-Out Yields New Charges; Latest Virus Numbers

A third man from North Chicago has been charged in connection with a shoot-out near Moe Moe's Food Market on 52nd St. in Kenosha last month. 21-year-old Cortez Bradley has been charged with Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and several counts of endangering safety in an incident that wounded a non-involved shopper. The shooting stemmed from an argument between men who apparently knew each other. According to a criminal complaint, there appeared to be five separate shooters. Bradley is accused of firing an AK-styled rifle.

Just one new coronavirus-related death was reported Sunday in Wisconsin along with 240 new cases. The number of cases as a percent of total tests performed ticked upward just a bit to 2.6%, according to data provided by the state. The number of new, confirmed cases in Kenosha County seems to have risen a bit after the county's health department director said Wednesday night that new cases had dipped. 16 new cases were reported in Kenosha County on Sunday and no new deaths. Racine County reported just three new cases Sunday, with two new deaths for the weekend.

Gateway Technical College will hold two more online workshops for those interested in enrolling in the SC Johnson-funded Highly Skilled Occupations for Professional Employment (HOPE) program. It's an initiative to provide free training for in-demand careers such as construction, advanced manufacturing, IT and health sciences.
