City of Kenosha Seeks Public's Help in Planning

Apr. 14, 2026 7:05p

From the City of Kenosha:

The City of Kenosha has released a community survey to help shape its 2050 Comprehensive Plan, a long‑range vision that will guide how the city grows and invests over the next 25 years.

All residents, business owners and community stakeholders are encouraged to participate.

The survey gathers input on housing, transportation, parks, economic development, sustainability and overall quality of life.

Feedback will help guide the development of goals and strategies for the completed plan. “Planning for the future of Kenosha starts with listening to those who call our city home,” Mayor David Bogdala said. “I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to participate and help guide how we grow, invest and strengthen our community for generations to come.”

A comprehensive plan is a community’s roadmap for future decision‑making. It guides policies related to land use, housing, mobility, parks and natural resources, economic development, historic preservation, public facilities and environmental resilience.

Wisconsin State Statute requires cities to update these plans every 10 years to stay aligned with changing needs and priorities.

The survey should take only a few minutes to complete. All responses are confidential and will be used solely for planning purposes.

Public meetings will be held throughout the summer to gather additional community input. Dates and locations will be announced and shared on the city’s social media platforms.
