Community Matters: Improving the Health of Black Women & Their Newborns

Host Jayne Herring talks to Black women who are trailblazing in the area of bettering health outcomes for Black women.

Herring welcomes Keeshia Jones, President of Sisters Network Inc of Southeastern Wisconsin, and board members Dr. Karen Robinson and Adelene Greene.

In a second segment, Jayne highlights the work of the African-American Breastfeeding Network and its WeRISE program, which targets southeast Wisconsin's high rate of Black infant mortality. The non-profit is looking to help Black women in the later stages of pregnancy. Herring welcomes project director Kay’la Mumford and others.
