Daytime Best Buy Robbery Ends With Arrests

Dec. 19, 2020 8:00p

(WGTD)---Several teens from Milwaukee went Christmas shopping in Mt. Pleasant Saturday morning with a stun gun.

Two females who entered Best Buy on Green Bay Road used the weapon to keep store employees at bay while they ran out with merchandise.

According to a news release from Mt. Pleasant Police, the getaway was less than clean. The thieves, ages 18 and 17, jumped into a waiting vehicle with a pair of 18-year-old men inside.

Speeding through the parking lot, the driver collided with another vehicle, then wound up with a Sturtevant squad on his tail. The pursuit headed south and ended behind some homes on S. Sylvania Ave.

The driver took a wrong turn into a driveway and tried to elude police by plowing through some backyards.

The four occupants bailed but were all tracked down and arrested.

The four are considered suspects in similar thefts in the region, according to the release.
