(WGTD)---A 23-year-old man is awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin to face a homicide charge in the death of a former standout Horlick High School basketball player.

20-year-old Marcus Caldwell suffered a single gunshot wound to the head as a result of an apparent argument that took place in Racine on Yout St. off of Douglas Ave. Saturday evening, Oct. 17th.

According to the criminal complaint, Khalil Buckley has been arrested in St. Louis.

The complaint said Buckley had been living for a short time on Yout with the mother of Caldwell's child. Buckley apparently got into an argument with the woman over a video link she had with a Racine County Jail inmate. A short time later, Caldwell, who apparently had tried to intervene, was dead.

A search of the woman's apartment yielded an empty gun case and several pounds of marijuana. The complaint doesn't say who owned the items.

At the time of the crime, Buckley was out on bond from another crime.
