(WGTD)---Two people who died in a collision between a car and a semi on I-94 just north of the state line have been identified as 32-year-old Tony Ely and 22-year-old Monica Miller. Miller is from Chicago. A Wisconsin State Patrol news release did not name Ely's home town.

The accident occurred in the north bound lanes during Tuesday night's snowstorm just before midnight.

According to a news release, marijuana and pills were found in the car. It's not known whether the substances were a factor in the crash.

The release said a trooper arrived on scene to find two occupants of the car, one of which was already dead. The other was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The truck driver wasn't hurt.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept. said it investigated four crashes involving injuries and eight property damage accidents during the storm. Deputies also assisted eight motorists and provided support at three fire calls.
