A Forgianni Remains With Kenosha HarborMarket

Nov. 13, 2020 8:40p

(WGTD)---At Kenosha HarborMarket, Andrea Forgianni is picking up where her father, Ray Forgianni, left off.

Ray Forgianni, founder and president of Kenosha Harbor Market, died in late September after battling COVID-19.

Andrea, a daughter, was recently named the Market's executive director, taking over many of the responsibilities that her father had when he was alive.

In a news release, Andrea said she's thrilled to serve as executive director, and that her father's spirit will continue to be part of the Market.

"It's still hard to believe that he's gone," she said in the release. "I miss him, our conversations and his infectious smile and spirit. He was a fighter up to the very end. I think that he knew we would be okay."

The Market has a new slate of officers. They are Kristeen Morgenroth, board president; John Collins, vice-president; Lynda Ruffolo, secretary; and Theodore Ruffalo, treasurer.

Although she'll be taking on new duties as Market director, Andrea Forgianni has been part of the Market organization for the past seven years.

Kenosha HarborMarket plans to reopen in May for the outdoor season. The release says the organization will continue to work with the County's Division of Health if operational changes are needed because of the virus.
