(WGTD)---With a pardon in her pocket, a former Racine School Board member who was forced to resign says she wants to regain a seat on the school board.
In 2015, Shelesia Parham resigned a few months into her first term after it came to light that her record included two felonies that precluded her from holding elective office. Parham was convicted of forgery some 25 years ago for stealing money from her mother's checking account.
With the full support of her mother, Gov. Evers Thursday gave Parham a full pardon.
Parham tells WGTD News that she's grateful for the pardon. Saying she still has a passion for educational issues, Parham said she'd like to run for another seat on the board if the opportunity presents itself in the future.
