(WGTD)---A Kenosha man who operates what he says is the state's most advanced virtual video production studio is looking forward to an uptick in business thanks to recently-approved film tax credits.
Alex Kudrna set up his studio--Backyard Dream Productions-- several years ago in vacant space at Herzing University in downtown Kenosha. The building used to be home to the Kenosha News.
Kudrna hosted a visit by Gov. Evers Thursday who has been promoting the new tax credits in appearances around the state.
Kudrna's production company has been busy making commercials, corporate videos, music videos and films. With the advent of tax credits, Kudrna hopes to land bigger productions.
The main feature of Kudrna's studio is a massive LED screen that allows him to seamlessly combine live shots with those on film.
Kudrna's business model calls for the reliance on a network of sub-contractors in Kenosha and elsewhere as opposed to a staff of full-time employees.
