Racine County Sheriff's patrol deputies and jail staffers will be outfitted with body cameras starting around November 1st, under a five-year contract with Taser International approved by the County Board at a total cost of about 925-thousand dollars. County Executive Jonathan Delagrave applauded the board for being proactive. Supervisor Mark Gleason raised concern about future costs, while also noting cameras could result in more open records requests and litigation. County ordinance requires keeping all records a minimum 120-days, but longer for evidence with court proceedings. (The photo with this story is a stock photo.
