(AP)---Wisconsin is making more money available to help small businesses in Kenosha recover from damage during recent unrest over the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Gov. Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation on Wednesday said another $3 million would be added to the previously-announced $1 million in no-interest loans for small businesses. Kenosha Fire Chief Charles Leipzig recently said damage from the violence that followed Blake’s shooting Aug. 23 has topped $11 million.

(WPR)---Wisconsin's seven-day average for daily new cases of COVID-19 increased to a new record high, and all 72 of the state's counties were shown to have high levels of COVID-19 activity, in the latest daily update from the state Department of Health Services. DHS reported 1,762 new cases of the virus Wednesday, the fourth-highest daily total the state has seen since the beginning of the pandemic. Wednesday's numbers bring the average for the past seven days to 1,889 new cases per day, a record high. The seven-day average has been trending upward since the start of September, when the seven-day average for new cases hovered at around 700 per day. COVID-19 hospitalizations are also at a record high in the state [3], with DHS showing 474 hospitalized patients in Wisconsin.

(WGTD)---The victim of a head-on crash on an I-94 frontage road in Somers Tuesday was an 88-year-old Waterford woman. Her KIA collided head-on with a Honda SUV that had been driven by an 18-year-old woman. The teenager suffered minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.

(WGTD)---Pleasant Prairie Police are investigating an apparent hit and run that occurred Tuesday evening near 7th Ave. and 85th St. A 33-year-old Kenosha man was found on the shoulder of the road bleeding from the head. He was flown to a Milwaukee hospital. Police said evidence at the scene suggests that the man was either walking or jogging along the road when he was struck by a 2015-2018 Dodge Ram 2500 or 3500. The vehicle should have a passenger-side mirror with an additional towing mirror that was damaged and possibly missing as a result of the incident.
