From WGTD News:
The security officer at Lincoln Middle School in Kenosha who used a knee-to-the-neck tactic against a 12-year-old girl involved in a fight has resigned, according to a statement from Kenosha Unified. Possibly in response to word that the girl and others at the school have reportedly been traumatized by the incident, the district also pointed out in its short statement Thursday that a variety of counseling programs exist to support the social and emotional needs of students, staff and families. A service offered in collaboration with Advocate Aurora Health is available by calling 800-236-3231. A KUSD spokesperson said the district will have no additional comment, since the matter appears to be headed to litigation. The 12-year-old girl's father said his daughter has yet to return to school. The girl's attorney said his client was not the aggressor in the fight, even though the police department has referred the matter to the district attorney's office for possible charging.

The sale is expected to close this fall, then Twin Disc will have the option of leasing the space for up to 18 months. There's been no comment from either Twin Disc or Jeffers. A joint meeting between the Racine County Board and the Mt. Pleasant Village Board on Foxconn has been rescheduled for next week Tuesday. The meeting was originally scheduled for last month but was postponed because of a snow storm. According to the agenda, staff will update the boards on Tax Incremental Financing District #5. That's the district that covers the Foxconn campus. Staff is also expected to formally introduce a new website that tracks progress. Beginning next year, Foxconn is supposed to pay property taxes as if the property was fully developed. That won't be the case, as the size and scope of Foxconn's presence in the village has been downgraded.
