(WGTD)---Voters Tuesday also elected candidates for town, village, city and county governments in addition to school boards and circuit court judge positions. Here are some of the highlights.

In Racine County, Walker judicial appointee Jon Frederickson beat former public defender Jamie McClendon for a court vacancy.

In Caledonia, former state Representative Tom Weatherston was elected to the village board. In Mt. Pleasant, Sonny Havn, the longest-serving village trustee, was re-elected. Incumbent village presidents in Union Grove, Somers, Paddock Lake and Bristol all won re-election.

Perhaps the closest contest of the evening was in Waterford where voters approved a nearly $10 million facilities referendum by a three-vote margin. A reminder that all of the results being reported are unofficial and totals could change. Voters also approved a referendum in the Salem school district. Voters there approved levy limit exceptions.

There were some interesting races for Racine City Council. All of the incumbents up for re-election won—except one. Incumbent Steve Smetana lost to former Racine Education Association President Jennifer Levie (lee-vee.) In the 9th district, Trevor Jung, who works as a community engagement coordinator for Visioning a Greater Racine, defeated Justin Coe, the brother of long-time alderman Jeff Coe. In the 13th district, Parkside biology professor Natalia Taft defeated Christina Seaman. In district races for seats on the Racine School Board, the winners were Kimberly Hoover and Amy Cimbalnik.

In the 64th District Democratic Primary special election, Tip McGuire defeated two other candidates. McGuire will face Republican Mark Stalker for the seat recently vacated by Peter Barca.
