(WGTD)---No limits have been placed on the crowd size for President Trump's campaign stop at the Kenosha Regional Airport this evening, according to airport director Cory Reed.
Satellite parking will be available at Jerry Smith's farm off of Highway L and at Oak View Farm at 14700 104th St. Rally-goers will be bused in. Parking will be prohibited along highways adjacent to the airport.
Reed says people planning on attending the rally are being told to bring and wear masks, but the directive is not a requirement, judging from previous Trump rallies. The Kenosha County Division of Health has not commented.
The campaign identifies Kenosha as the fourth of five appearances planned for Monday, right after Traverse City, Michigan and before Grand Rapids. The Kenosha rally is expected to begin at 7.
The event itself will be held outside at Stein's Aircraft Services.
The police department Sunday night issued a list of planned road closures. It includes Highway 'H' between Highway 'S' and Gateway Technical College's Horizon Center. That stretch will be blocked off most of the day. Beginning Monday at 6:30 p.m., Highway 158 past the airport will be closed, and there will be no parking along 158, also known as 52nd St.
Gateway says it's Horizon Center will close at noon Monday.
Trump will either motorcade or helicopter to Kenosha after flying into Mitchell International, according to the latest campaign schedule. The Kenosha airport isn't big enough to accommodate the 747 that serves as Air Force 1.
Reed says the airport will be closed to air traffic beginning at 5.
Coinciding with the Trump event will be a protest rally in Civic Center Park in downtown Kenosha put on by the "Justice for Jacob" organization. They're asking supporters to show up at 6:30 in warm clothes and masks, and be prepared to social distance. The police shooting of Jacob Blake and the subsequent protests that turned violent is what drew Trump's attention to Kenosha in the first place.
Five polls quoted Sunday by realclearpolitics.com has Trump losing to Vice-President Biden in Wisconsin by margins of between 3 and 11 points. Trump narrowly won Wisconsin four years ago.
