New cancelations and other notices received by WGTD:
*Racine School Board meetings scheduled for Monday the 16th have been canceled.
*Jackie Joyner Kersee's Mar. 24th appearance at Carthage College has been canceled
*Jazz Week at UW-Parkside is canceled.
*Pleasant Prairie is restricting programs, classes and rentals at the RecPlex, but the facility will stay open for members, day care and therapeutic recreation. Election day polls at the Addison (assisted living & more) will be relocated to the RecPlex.
*In Racine, community centers and the public library will be closed beginning Monday, March 16th.
*The Racine County Jail is getting picky on who it accepts. Only arrestees who are suspected of committing violent felony and misdemeanor crimes posing a threat to public safety will be booked into the jail. Others will be given mandatory court dates, according to Sheriff Christopher Schmaling.
*The Kenosha City Council's Public Safety Committee, meeting in special session Monday night, will discuss a proposed resolution that urges stores to provide disinfecting wipes for customer use in wiping down shopping carts and baskets.
