(WGTD)---The pandemic changed higher education.
The challenge, it seems, as the health crisis fades, is to figure out which new practices to embrace and grow, and which to set aside. That’s one of the conclusions in a book titled “Commencement: The Beginning of a New Era in Higher Education.” It’s co-authored by a Carthage College grad, and is based on conversations with over 100 college and university presidents and chancellors.
Kate Colbert spoke recently on WGTD’s Morning Show. Colbert said that schools seem to fall into one of two camps: Those that permanently adopt some of the changes that were prompted by the pandemic, and others that completely revert back to past practices. It's those schools in the latter group that appear to be the first to fail.
