Community Leader and Harbor Market Co-Founder Ray Forgianni Dies

(WGTD)---Ray Forgianni, President of the Board of Directors of Kenosha HarborMarket, died Saturday morning from complications of COVID-19, according to a statement from the board.

Forgianni was a key player in the small group that created HarborMarket almost two decades ago. He also served as the city's development director, retiring in 2006. Altogether, Forgianni spent 35 years in city government.

Mayor Antaramian noted that Forgianni was involved in many projects over the years. "In particular he loved the market," Antaramian said in a statement to the Kenosha News. "In particular he loved the market--really loved the whole concept of the market and worked hard with many people to make it happen and be a success."

Forgianni co-hosted his last "Kenosha Harbor Market Live" program on WGTD Aug. 1st.
