(WGTD)---The superintendent of Union Grove High School has been arrested in an investigation of child sexual abuse material.
According to a news release from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office, Thomas Johnson's Wheatland-area home was searched Wednesday morning just before 6. Several electronic devices were seized, the release said.
Two counts of Possession of Child Pornography are being recommended for prosecution.
Kenosha authorities got the case upon a referral from the Racine County Sheriff's Office last week.
Johnson, 51, was hired as superintendent in 2023 after having served as principal of Union Grove Elementary School.
As of mid-morning, Johnson's photo and an introductory message to the community remained on the high school's website.
