Die-Hard Sanders Delegate From Kenosha Makes Waves at Convention

Philadelphia---At the first day of the Democratic National Convention Monday, a die-hard Bernie Sanders delegate  from Kenosha drew attention to herself--and her cause--by displaying on a piece of duct tape the word 'silenced' and then placing it over her mouth.

Angie Aker--who has said in Facebook posts that she won't vote for Hillary Clinton--believes the primary and caucus process was rigged. She and other Sanders backers cite as evidence leaked emails that show that the Democratic National Committee was far from neutral.

When it appeared to her on the convention floor Monday that Sanders supporters were being short-changed in the nominating process, Aker,  much to the dismay of Clinton backers and party officials, pulled out the duct tape and the marker and did her thing. Photographers quickly spotted the protest move and snapped away.

On the way back to the hotel following the close of Monday's schedule, Aker taped and posted to Facebook a video message for her supporters. "I felt like I really needed to make sure that we were represented here and I think we accomplished that," she said, adding that the stunt was far more effective that she thought it would be.

It came with a price---Aker says she was harassed by Clinton supporters and party officials who at first tried to reason with her. "We really ruffled a lot of feathers at the DNC," Aker said in her Monday night video.

By the way, State Representative Cory Mason from Racine, who's also serving as a delegate, will be Greg Berg's guest on the first part of Tuesday's Morning Show. Mason endorsed Clinton before the Wisconsin primary.
