From WGTD News:

The Extreme Heating Warning has been extended until early Wednesday evening. On Monday, temperatures appeared to hit the low 90s in most locations in the WGTD listening area. Even warmer weather is forecast for Tuesday. The heat wave is expected to start to break up Thursday evening with the advent of showers and storms. The hot weather has forced postponement of Tuesday evening's Music at Twilight concert at the Anderson Arts Center featuring blues singer Ivy Ford. It's been rescheduled for next Tuesday. Residents without air conditioning may want to take advantage of cooling centers that have been established throughout the area. The state Public Service Commission reminds residents that state law prohibits a utility from disconnecting electrical service from occupied homes and apartments when a heat emergency is in effect. Also, a utility is required to make reasonable attempts to reconnect service that's been disconnected for non-payment when a resident states that there's a potential threat to health or life.

Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens is scheduled to host a panel discussion on data centers at the Rhode Center for the Arts in Kenosha Tuesday evening. The event is sponsored by a group that's opposed to Microsoft's planned data center for Kenosha. The discussion begins at 6 p.m. WGTD reported last week that the city is waiting for site plans from Microsoft. In order for the project to proceed, the Kenosha City Council will be asked to approve a development agreement covering public infrastructure.
