From WGTD News:

A former Kenosha County deputy sheriff has been charged with two counts of misconduct in public office for allegedly using department technology to track the movements of his then girlfriend who also is a deputy. An initial appearance for Frank McGrath has been scheduled for next month. According to the criminal complaint, McGrath, while off-duty, accessed the department's license plate reader system over a dozen times in a five-hour period on Sept. 30th of last year to check the whereabouts of the woman's private vehicle. On other occasions, McGrath allegedly accessed a separate system that tracks squad cars. On one occasion, McGrath purportedly forced a trainee deputy to drive to the woman's location to confront her while she was parked next to a state trooper. McGrath has already resigned from the sheriff's office.

In a news release Wednesday night, the sheriff's office said it has already implemented additional accountability measures and safeguards governing the use of the Flock cameras. They include expanding auditing authority so that any sworn supervisor may audit Flock system activity and individual searches and reducing Flock data retention from 30 days to 7 days.
