Gov. Evers Fills a Kenosha County Judicial Vacancy

(WGTD)---A Kenosha attorney who has specialized in commercial litigation, estate planning, probate administration and business law has been appointed to the bench by Gov. Evers.

David Hughes will replace Judge Anthony Milisauskas who retired this week. Hughes will complete a term ending July 31st, 2027.

Hughes is a partner with the firm Puntillo Camilli & Hughes where he has practiced law since 2012. He's a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin Law School. 

According to a release from the governor's office, Hughes has been a supplemental court commissioner, presiding over small claims, juvenile, family, traffic and criminal intake hearings. 

Hughes' resume includes leadership roles with the Kenosha County Bar Association, Friends of the Kenosha Public Museum and the Kenosha Public Museums Foundation. He also has served as a commissioner for the Kenosha Housing Authority.
