From WGTD News:

A sting operation designed to ultimately reduce human trafficking netted 11 men, according to a release from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department. Most of the defendants--ranging in age from 25 to 61--received tickets for soliciting a prostitute. Some were criminally charged, including one man who picked up additional charges of drug possession and bail jumping. The complaint issued earlier this week against 33-year-old Joseph Clark revealed how the operation worked. Clark responded to an online ad on the website skipthegames.com that had been posted by a female officer working undercover. The officer made arrangements to meet Clark near Target, then directed him to a room at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. At one point, Clark allegedly texted the officer, asking if she was either affiliated with or working with the police. Once in the room, two other officers exited the bathroom and made the arrest. The recently-concluded sting operation began in August. The release said those arrested were given information on the growing problem of human trafficking and how it relates to prostitution.

The woman who killed a Kenosha man, claiming self-defense under a human trafficking statute, was back in court Friday. It was the first appearance for Chrystul Kizer since she won a favorable state Supreme Court ruling indicating that she would be able to use an affirmative defense in her upcoming murder trial.  Friday's proceeding was short, and mostly involved setting a hearing date and deadlines for motions. The hearing will be held January 27th. D-A Michael Graveley is proceeding with the case, saying he’s not buying all of Kizer’s claims.
