(WGTD)---A man wanted for allegedly firing two shots at the Trevor home of his girlfriend's sister Sunday night is in custody.

29-year-old Jake Wenzel of Antioch was arrested Tuesday following a vehicle pursuit and a short foot chase through Union Grove.

According to news releases from both the Kenosha County and Racine County sheriff's offices, authorities received a tip that Wenzel might be at the Esmond Motel in Union Grove.

Deputies spotted Wenzel leaving the motel with his girlfriend and pulled him over in parking lot. Wenzel stepped out of the vehicle, but then jumped back in after his girlfriend exited. He then led deputies on a short high-speed chase. Wenzel ditched the vehicle in a muddy farm field near the Ellsworth Correctional Center and tried to take off on foot. Two Racine County Sheriff's dogs apprehended Wenzel and he was taken into custody.

No one was injured in the Sunday night shooting in Trevor.
