Shootings in Racine: One Victim Survives, the Other Doesn't

(WGTD)---At least one of the two shootings in Racine Wednesday evening appears to have been domestic violence-related. 

51-year-old Melisa Ann Bodoh was charged Thursday with Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide. Bodoh allegedly shot her estranged husband in the neck. The 54-year-old man is being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to the criminal complaint.

The incident occurred at the home of Bodoh's mother in the 1500 blk. of Carlisle Ave. Bodoh reportedly told investigators that she shot her husband because he'd been hitting her. 

Bond for Bodoh was set Thursday at $50,000

The second shooting that occurred in Racine Wednesday evening was fatal. A 36-year-old man died in the 1400 blk. of Marquette after being shot in the chest. At last report, police were looking to identify the gunman.
