(WGTD)---Somebody’s in critical condition after an interaction with Kenosha police and firefighters early Thursday morning.
First responders were summoned to the 5700 blk. of 8th Ave. on a report of a person claiming to be shot.
No evidence of a gunshot wound was found, but police and paramedics determined that a drug-induced mental health issue of some type was involved.
The patient became combative while in the rescue squad and tried to bolt.
According to a social media post from the police department, officers secured the subject on the ground, who then became unresponsive.
The patient was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
Because of the circumstances, the Racine County Sheriff’s Dept., was called in to investigate.
