One Kenosha home was destroyed in a fire Monday afternoon--- and---a neighboring home was heavily damaged. The fire at 4611 18th Avenue has displaced a total of 12 people. It reportedly started in the attic. Kenosha Fire Department Battalion Chief Matt Haerter told the Kenosha News that the fire was fully involved upon firefighters’ arrival and everyone had been evacuated Fire crews from Kenosha and surrounding communities were at the scene for over six hours after The newspaper is also reporting that one firefighter was hit by falling debris---and---one person who had an existing medical condition that was exacerbated by the smoke was treated at the scene. Haerter confirmed that the house where the fire started is a total loss, and the neighboring home took heavy damage. The cause remains under investigation. (Photo Credit: Andrew Schmidt)
