A 16-year-old boy drowned in Lake Michigan---in Racine---yesterday afternoon. The Racine County Sheriff’s Office reports that the boy was swimming with two other teenaged friends when he went under water---in the Lake------near the area of Michigan Blvd and Augusta Street. The incident happened just after 5:30 yesterday. Emergency personnel responded quickly---and---the boy was found---still under water---just after 6pm. Life-saving measures were taken and he was transported to a hospital where he later died. He has been identified---and---his immediate family was notified---however--- his name has not yet been released.
After responding to an alarm at a business in the 61-hundred block of 23rd Avenue early yesterday morning---Kenosha police were flagged down by someone about a man---lying in a nearby alley. When the officers checked the area they discovered the body of a 46-year-old man who was dead. Police say there does not seem to be any connection between the business alarm and the man’s death. The investigation continues.
Two people died in a motorcycle accident on the frontage road of I-94 near Highway 158 yesterday early yesterday morning. The victims are believed to be a man and a woman. No other details are available.
