16-Year-Old Tremper Student Arrested for Alleged School Threat

Friday, September 20, 2019  11:45am update

Both Bradford and Tremper High Schools reportedly had threats of shootings Friday. Social media was buzzing about it Thursday night.  Kenosha Police Sergeant Matt Strelow says a 16-year-old male Tremper student was arrested---and---is in secure detention---for the threat at Tremper made on social media.  The teen could be charged with terroristic threats---a felony. He was in possession of a pocket knife when he was arrested. He now awaits a court date.

The police are calling the apparent threat to Bradford unfounded and not credible. However---Strelow said tensions are high in the community because of the controversy over a memorial--- planned for murdered cheerleader Kaylie Juga--- at tonight’s Bradford-Oak Creek football game---so there will be enhanced police protection.
