1950s-Era Southern Segregation Examined From Two Different Perspectives

Both Charity Cooks and Mike Kehoe have lived in the Kenosha area for decades. But it was only relatively recently that the pair--who both work in Kenosha Unified as volunteers under the Foster Grandparent program--discovered that for awhile in the late 1950's both were struggling to deal with the ramifications of living in a deeply segregated society from two different perspectives---and just a few miles apart. Charity and Mike tell their stories on Education Matters. Click here for the full program.
