A 21-year-old Mount Pleasant man---apparently speeding on an ATV---was killed---very early Friday morning---after ignoring a Road Closed sign on Braun Road. According to a news release from the Mount Pleasant Police Department---the victim---and a passenger---were westbound on Braun Road---and---drove past the Road Closed sign at a high rate of speed and vaulted into a rocky ravine where there was no roadway---and---struck one bank of that ravine. Police indicate that speed and alcohol may be factors in the fatal accident. It happened just after 1:30 Friday morning. No names have been released yet.
