64th District Special Election Assembly Candidates to Debate; Please Share

The two candidates running in the special election next week to replace Peter Barca in the Assembly will debate the issues Wednesday evening in a forum hosted by WGTD.

Democrat Tip McGuire and Republican Mark Stalker will answer questions from moderator Len Iaquinta.

The forum will be held in the Garden Room of the Academic Building on Gateway’s Kenosha campus beginning at 7.

The event will be streamed live on WGTD’s Facebook page, and then available afterward in the archive.

The 64th includes parts of both Kenosha and Racine counties.

The Garden Room, where the debate will be held, is adjacent to the student commons area.

In addition to being streamed, the event is open to the public.

Barca left the Assembly earlier this year to join the administration of Gov. Evers as his Revenue Department secretary.

McGuire is an assistant district attorney in Milwaukee County who commutes from the district. Stalker is a former Kenosha School Board member.

The election is next Tuesday.
