Another Closed-Door Meeting on Economic Development in Racine County

Another mysterious meeting in Racine County that could be related to Foxconn, the Taiwan-based electronics company that's looking to set up a large manufacturing plant in the U-S.

The Racine County Board's Executive Committee is scheduled to meet in closed session early Tuesday evening to consider establishing a line of credit worth up to $500,000 for the Racine County Economic Development Corp. According to the agenda, the money would be used to cover expenses related to economic development projects.

Those projects aren't named.

The money, according to the agenda, would come from the county's reserve fund.

Wisconsin is reportedly in competition with several states for the Foxconn plant which would make television displays.

Any action by the Executive Committee is expected to be taken up by the full board which will convene for a regularly-scheduled session shortly afterward.

Racine County officials had another closed session last week.
