A threatening message found written on a bathroom wall at Indian Trail High School on Monday will lead to enhanced security at the school on Tuesday.
In a message sent to parents Monday, Principal Maria Kotz said that a "school shooting threat" was discovered in a stall.
Extra officers will be on hand Tuesday morning and that students will be directed to enter the building through a single entrance, she said.
Kotz said the investigation into the threat is continuing.
Three weeks ago, a current Indian Trail student and a former student of the school were arrested for posting an on-line threat. The incident forced school officials to cancel classes for a day.
In her message home Monday, Kotz said anyone who makes threatening statements, either as a joke or for real, can expect to be charged in criminal court with a felony.
